From today, April 11, 2024 until April 13, 2024, a part of the IMW participates in the XXV Workshop on QUANTITATIVE FINANCE in Bologna. Felix Dammann, Jodi Dianetti, Giorgio Ferrari, Fabian Fuchs, Max Nendel, and Ioannis Tzouanas take part in the conference and present their work.
Manuek Förster and Jurek Preker in Stony Brook

The IMW contributes to the 34th Stony Brook International Conference on Game Theory, taking place from July 24-27 2023, with two talks. Manuel Förster presents his work "Strategic use of social media influencer marketing" and Jurek Preker gives a talk on "Strategic News Selection in Social Media". IMW at the SAET 2023 in Paris

The IMW contributes to the SAET 2023 conference, taking place in Paris from July 17-21, with talks and session chairs. Dominik Karos and Frank Riedel organize the sessions on Dynamic Decision Problems and Knightian Uncertainty respectively. Talks are held by Gerrit Bauch on "Ambiguity aversion and the direction of dynamic inconsistency in sender-receiver games of common interest", Artur Dolgopolov on "Automated Mechanism Design with Memory" and Dominik Karos on "A taste for variety: repeated decision problem with frequency-dependent payoffs".

Successful Joint Conference of IMW, CRC 1283 and University of Johannesburg

The IMW organized a successful conference on "Risk and Uncertainty in Finance and Economics" in Johannesburg, jointly with the CRC 1283 and the University of Johannesburg. In addition to a group of Bielefeld researchers, the conference brought together international speakers from Paris, Berlin, and Canberra next to local speakers from South Africa to discuss latest research in the economics of uncertainty and their applications.
The IMW was academically represented by the keynote speakers Frank Riedel and Max Nendel, as well as talks by Annika Kemper and Gerrit Bauch.

The IMW is significantly represented at the CIRM's conference "Advances in Stochastic Control and Optimal Stopping with Applications in Economics and Finance" in Luminy, taking place from September 12 to 16. Besides financial support from the IMW and the CRC 1283, Frank Riedel and Giorgio Ferrari are part of the organizing committee. Talks are given by Max Nendel and Felix Dammann, a poster is being presented by Shihao Zhu and Ioannis-Paraskevas Tzouanas participates. Further information can be found on the CIRM's website.
