Neue Initiative als Chance für geflüchtete Wissenschaftler
Universität Bielefeld koordiniert Projekt BRiDGE mit sechs Partnern
Sie
fliehen aus Kriegs- und Krisengebieten, viele von ihnen nach Europa.
Gemeint sind gefährdete Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler. Einige
von ihnen finden an wissenschaftlichen Einrichtungen in Europa – auch
an der Universität Bielefeld – Zuflucht. An diesen Orten können sie ihre
wissenschaftliche Arbeit fortführen. Für geflüchtete und gefährdete
Forschende will das nun bewilligte Projekt BRiDGE (Bridge for
Researchers in Danger Going to Europe) Brücken bauen. Die Initiative
unterstützt 220 gefährdete Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler, im
Besonderen in der Türkei, Griechenland, Bulgarien, der Schweiz und
Deutschland. Die Universität Bielefeld übernimmt die
Projektkoordination.
