The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR), and International Arctic Science Committee (IASC), in collaboration with the Oceanographic Institute, Prince Albert I of Monaco Foundation, have invited Prof. Dr. Holger Straßheim to participate in the 3rd Polar Symposium from Arctic to Antarctic “Enabling the Legacy: Translating Polar Research into Action”. The event took place from February 25th to 27th, 2026, at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco. Held every two years, the Polar Symposium provides a platform for scientists, Indigenous representatives, knowledge holders, policymakers, and non-governmental organisations to address the urgent challenges facing the polar regions. Straßheim is a member of the Social & Humanities Working Group of the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC).
