“A World of Evidence“ - New publications by Holger Straßheim
How can we explain the worldwide spread of evidence-based policy despite continuous criticism? In a new research article published by Policy & Society, Holger Straßheim aims at answering this question by analyzing how evidence cultures immunize themselves against their critics. The findings may be instructive not only for those doing research on evidence cultures, but also for practitioners engaged in policy advice. The open access paper is part of a Special Issue on “Cultures of Evidence”. Other recent publications by Holger Straßheim include two contributions to the Encyclopedia of Public Policy (ed. by M. van Gerven, C. Rothmayr Allison, & K. Schubert): “Sustainability in Public Policy” (Straßheim); “Experts and Expertise in Public Policy” (Blum and Straßheim).
