Tomorrow, on December 6^th, the FSZ English Choir will give its first public performance. At 12pm you can see and hear the choir singing in front of University’s Christmas tree in the main hall. As the choir is still new, they will perform a short set of three songs, but will sing their set three times: at 12, 12:20, and 12:40. The choir is looking for new members, especially people with lower voices like bass, baritone, and tenor. If you have any questions about the choir, you are welcome to use the time in between the sets for a little chat.

In Erinnerung an die im letzten Jahr verstorbene Literaturnobelpreisträgerin Toni Morrison veranstaltet das Fachsprachenzentrum organisiert von Prof. Dr. Julia Roth und Beatrix Loghin eine Lesung ihrer Texte.

Die Autorin, Herausgeberin und Feministin war 1993 die erste afroamerikanische Preisträgerin des Literaturnobelpreis.

Die Lesung findet am 28. Januar um 18 Uhr in der Lounge des FSZ (CO1-244) statt. Der Abend wird von Georg Rox musikalisch auf dem Klavier begleitet. Die Texte werden in englischer Sprache gelesen und der Eintritt ist frei.

Starting July 17^th there will be a table in the Mensa dedicated to practicing English conversation. Everyone is welcome, and the only requirement is that when sitting at this table you must speak English. This is a great opportunity to practice your English in a relaxed atmosphere. We will be in Speisesaal 2 (look for the sign Englisch Table). Come join us!
