DFG-Erfolg 1: Neuer Sonderforschungsbereich in Mathematik zur Erforschung des Zufalls
Universität Bielefeld mit neuem Aushängeschild der Forschung
„Unsicherheit
beherrschen und Zufall sowie Unordnung nutzen in Analysis, Stochastik
und deren Anwendungen“ – das ist der Name des neuen
Sonderforschungsbereiches (SFB) an der Universität Bielefeld. Er ist am
Mittwoch, 24. Mai, von der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG)
bewilligt worden. Ab Juli wird das interdisziplinäre Forschungsprogramm
zunächst vier Jahre lang mit einer Summe von jährlich 2,5 Millionen Euro
gefördert. Sprecher ist der Mathematiker Professor Dr. Michael Röckner.
