Dr. Jule Adriaans receives Jowell-Kaase Early Career Researcher Prize
Last week, the European Social Survey (ESS) announced Jule Adriaans (AG Sauer) as the winner of the 2024 Jowell-Kaase Priz.
The prize is named after the founders of the ESS and recognizes
excellence in the field of comparative social research by a promising
early career researcher. Jule Adriaans was part of the team of
researchers who proposed and designed a special questionnaire module on
"Justice and Fairness in Europe" fielded in 29 countries in 2018/2019.
Based on this unique comparative survey data, her work investigates how
structural conditions at the country-level shape evaluations and
reactions to fairness.
The prize will be awarded at the 5th ESS Conference taking place in
Lisbon from July 8-10, 2024, where Jule Adriaans will deliver a keynote
speech on the perception and evaluation of inequality in Europe.
