Award ceremony for the ACCEESS student competition

The final presentation and award ceremony for the ACCESS student project took place on 28 September 2022. The jury selected three winning teams from ten participants and awarded prizes for their development tools.

In the summer term of 2022, the computer science students had each developed prototypes of a testing platform that teachers can use to check their digital learning spaces for accessibility. A mixture of automated and manual checking options gives teachers feedback on the accessibility of their respective learning spaces in both Moodle and ILIAS and shows solutions for removing digital barriers. Gamification approaches enhance the user experience for teachers.

The winning teams received cash prizes worth up to € 5,000 and celebrated their success at a get-together with fellow students, the jury and guests.
