Каждый год первокурсники профиля “Studies in European Societies” под руководством приглашенного DAAD лектора Мадлен Блок на три недели отправляются в Билефельд и Берлин, чтобы поучаствовать в Зимней школе, посвященной экономическим, политическим и социальным институтам германского общества. Этот год не стал исключением. Билефельдская часть Зимней школы уже подошла к концу. Две недели наши студенты провели в небольшом немецком городе, который является одним из самых влиятельных центров социологии в мире. Над своими исследованиями здесь работали такие выдающиеся ученые, как Никлас Луман и Норберт Элиас.[Weiterlesen]

Накануне рождества пять студентов магистерского профиля «Европейские общества/Studies in European Societies» приняли участие в российско-голландском исследовательском семинаре «Европейская политика» (Radboud University, Неймеген, Нидерланды). Ksenia Puzyreva, a second-year MA SES student, has completed her internship at Flood Hazard Research Center (Middlesex University, Middlesex, London). FHRC is a research institute focused on the analysis of floods and particularly of their social and economic consequences.[Weiterlesen]

Spring is approaching soon which means it is now the high time to apply for numerous summer schools and workshops in Russia and Europe. On the threshold of the new season, our second-year, Veronika Boldinova, recalls her participation in the European School in Narva: ‘Have you ever attended a European School? This semester has been both a happy and a sad time for us: six wonderful second-year students from the Master’s degree Program ‘Studies in European Societies’ have left for Europe to take one-semester internships in various universities.

Just before Christmas, five students of the Master’s Degree Program ‘Studies in European Societies’ took part in the Dutch-Russian research seminar ‘European Policy’ for MA students (Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands). The seminar was conducted in the format of ‘think tank’ where young scholars from the Netherlands and Russia jointly develop new projects, search for creative ideas and solve practical problems. This year, the student team is studying political strategies and tactics of creative spaces in European cities.[Weiterlesen]
