2015 Research Papers Competition

2015 RESEARCH PAPERS COMPETITION FOR GRADUATE AND POSTGRADUATE STUDENTS. Application deadline - October 15

The Council of Young Scientists of the Faculty of Sociology (St. Petersburg State University) in cooperation with the Center for German and European Studies (St. Petersburg State University—Bielefeld University) are glad to announce a Russian-European competition of research papers by young scientists interested in comparative Russian-European studies. Winners will receive a prize of 1275 Euro to conduct an empirical research in Europe or Russia.

The papers (unpublished as well as recently published) should address topical issues in social sciences and humanities.

Papers should be sent to the organizing committee before October 15, 2015 via e-mail: info@zdes.spbu.ru and events.cges@gmail.com. The competition final will take place in November 2015. Finalists will present their papers in English to the jury.

Finalists will take part in the international seminar on paper preparation and publication in international scientific journals under the guidance of a European instructor.

Winners will receive a prize of 1275 Euro to take a research trip to Europe (Russian participants) or to Russia (participants from Europe) in early 2016 to collect empirical data and to develop the research.

Elaborated papers presenting the results of the empirical studies will be published in CGES Working Papers series in 2016.
