"Living in War" - Photography of the Syrian Civil War and an escape to Germany by Hosam Katan
Hosam Katan started photographing the Syrian Civil War at the age of 17. He escaped from Aleppo in 2015 and now lives and studies in Hannover. His pictures show the violence and life in the Syrian Civil War as well as his way to Germany.
At the invitation of the Institute for interdisciplinary research on Conflict and Violence (IKG) and the working group Uni ohne Vorurteile (University without prejudice) Hosam Katan will be presenting his photography. The event "Living in War" is anchored by Prof. Dr. Andreas Zick and will be held in English on Monday, April 10th at 18:00 in X-E0-001 at Bielefeld University.
