Das Zentrum für Theorien in der historischen Forschung an der Fakultät für Geschichtswissenschaft, Philosophie und Theologie ruft hiermit zur Einreichung von Vorschlägen für Workshops im Sommersemester 2024 und im Wintersemester 2024/25 auf.

In den Workshops sollen Theorien der Geschichte oder Theorien in der historischen Forschung und (gegebenenfalls) ihre empirische Anwendung diskutiert werden. Die universitätsöffentlichen Workshops sollen zwischen Mai 2024 und Ende März 2025 stattfinden. Die Konzeption der Workshops sollte darauf ausgelegt sein, verschiedene Mitglieder der Abteilung Geschichtswissenschaft sowie externe Wissenschaftler*innen einzubinden. Die Veranstaltungen können transepochal und/oder transdisziplinär ausgerichtet sein, dies ist jedoch keine Bedingung.

Die Höchstfördersumme für einen Antrag beträgt 1.500 Euro; dieser Betrag kann je nach Anzahl der förderungswürdigen Projekte gekürzt oder aufgestockt werden.

Antragsberechtigt sind alle Mitglieder des Zentrums für Theorien in der historischen Forschung. Gemeinsame Anträge von mehreren Antragsteller*innen sind willkommen. Bei mehreren Antragsteller*innen muss mindestens die Hälfte der Personen Mitglied des Zentrums für Theorien in der historischen Forschung sein. Bitte reichen Sie Ihren Themenvorschlag in Form eines kurzen Exposés ein, in dem die Rolle von Theorien der Geschichte oder Theorien in der historischen Forschung für die Konzeption des Workshops deutlich wird (3 bis 5 Zeilen Abstract; 1 bis maximal 2 Seiten Konzept; Angaben zum Ablauf und Zeitpunkt des Workshops; Liste möglicher Referent*innen; Kostenaufstellung sowie eine kurze Angabe, ob eine Veröffentlichung vorgesehen ist). Die Länge des Exposés sollte 4 Seiten nicht überschreiten. Die Anträge senden Sie bitte bis zum 2. Februar 2024 in elektronischer Form (in einem PDF-Dokument) an den Vorstand des Zentrums:

Zum Auswahlverfahren: Der Vorstand wird innerhalb von vier Wochen über die Bewilligung der Anträge entscheiden.

The Center for Theories in Historical Research at the Faculty of History, Philosophy and Theology hereby calls for proposals for workshops in the summer semester 2024 and winter semester 2024/25.

The workshops are to discuss theories of history or theories in historical research and (where appropriate) their empirical application. The university-public workshops should take place between May 2024 and the end of March 2025. The conception of the workshops should be designed to involve various members of the Department of History as well as external scholars. The scope can be trans-epochal and/or trans-disciplinary, but this is not a requirement. 

The maximal amount of funding for an application is 1,500 euros; this amount can be reduced or increased depending on the number of eligible projects.

All members of the Center for Theories in Historical Research are eligible to apply. Joint applications from several applicants are welcome. If there are several applicants, at least half of them must be members of the Center for Theories in Historical Research. Please submit your proposal in the form of a short synopsis in which the role of theories of history or theories in historical research for the conception of the workshop is made clear (3 to 5 lines of abstract; 1 to a maximum of 2 pages of concept; information on the schedule and timing of the workshop; list of potential speakers; estimate of costs as well as information on whether a publication is planned). The length of the synopsis should not exceed 4 pages. Please send the applications in electronic form (one combined PDF file) to the Executive Board of the Center by 2 February 2024:
