Multimodal History: New Perspectives on the Interplay of Text and Image in Historical Scholarship.

The workshop explores the role of multimodality in historical scholarship, focusing especially on the interplay of text, image and other visual formats in source analysis, the communication of historical knowledge and other domains. It aims to bring together interdisciplinary perspectives that shed light on the aesthetic, semiotic, and praxeological potentials of multimodality for historical research.
