From 7-8 December 2015 an international workshop to the topic »Time in History / Time as History« takes place at the BGHS.

About the workshop:
The workshop discusses time in history and time as history. In other words, the workshop examines how the issue of temporality appears in historical writing on the one hand (time in history), and it engages with our conceptions of time and temporality as they configure history understood as the course of events on the other (time as history). Finally, our workshop poses the question of the relation between the two meanings of history, the question of whether and to what extent they inform each other.

A round table for the mobility grants programme of the BGHS will take place on Thursday, 26 November 2015 at 2 pm in the BGHS-Lounge (X-B2-109).
Doctoral researchers of the BGHS who stayed at universities and research institutions in Australia, Singapore, Sweden and the United States in 2015 will share their experiences from abroad.
Moreover, there will be valuable tips and pieces of advice for applying for the Mobility Grants.
