New doctoral researchers at the BGHS

In winter term 2015/16 the BGHS welcomes seven new members - four doctoral researchers from sociology and three doctoral researchers from history.

The new colleagues from China, Uzbekistan, Ecuador and Germany will start this winter term with the BGHS study programme and their research projects. They will be supported by professors from the sociology and the history department.

New doctoral researchers of the BGHS and their projects:

BGHS Welcome Day Winter Term 2015/16

Today, the welcome day in the winter semester 2015/16 took place at the BGHS.

Sabine Schäfer, the executive manager of BGHS, welcomed the new doctoral researchers and guests - in addition to the Shortcuts scholars four doctoral researchers from sociology and three doctoral researchers from history. Following the welcome Sabine Schäfer informed about the structure and the programme of the BGHS and about some BGHS-events beyond academic life. Furthermore the doctoral representatives introduced themselves to their new colleagues.

The shortcuts will stay at the BGHS for a four-month training programme in preparation for their doctorates (for further information please see BGHS.NEWS).

The seven new members of the BGHS from China, Uzbekistan, Ecuador and Germany will start this winter term with their research projects. They will be supported by professors of the sociology and history department.

Following the welcome event, guests and new members of the BGHS had the opportunity to meet their colleagues at a coffee break in the BGHS lounge.
