Participation in the TURN Conference 2024
On November 14 and 15, 2024, members of the ZAB team had the opportunity to attend the TURN Conference in Berlin and present their own projects at the Henry Ford Building of Freie Universität. Under the motto "Connecting Horizons," the conference served as a platform for exchange between politics and practice.
As part of the TURN Conference, the peer mentoring program "Barrier-Free Study Start" and key results from the SHUFFLE project were presented. These presentations provided a valuable opportunity to emphasize the importance of an accessible university and raise awareness for (digital) accessibility in the higher education context. Concrete ways were also outlined to promote the topic of (digital) accessibility at universities and advance its integration into teaching.
The TURN Conference was an inspiring event, characterized by the diversity of its participants. Around 500 stakeholders from various disciplines came together to exchange new perspectives and forward-looking ideas. The conference offered a valuable opportunity to disseminate the work on accessibility while fostering important networking activities.
