New training series on accessibility
The new ZAB training series with four events on the topic of accessibility for staff will start soon. The events cover various aspects, from the basics of disability to practical exercises on creating accessible materials and websites in the Roxen CMS. Accessibility is a key issue in our society and has a direct impact on access and participation for people with different disabilities. With these training courses, we would like to support employees of Bielefeld University in making their work even more inclusive and promoting equal opportunities for all.
This series of events replaces and expands the previous training on the basics of digital accessibility.
Date: 31.05.2023 10-12 am
Content: In this introductory event, you will learn the basics of accessibility. You will learn about different impairments and how to adapt your teaching and working environments accordingly to create an inclusive environment.
Date: 07.06.2023 10-12 am
Content: In today's digital world, it is essential that content is accessible online. In this event, you will get an overview of the basic principles of digital accessibility and learn how to make digital content, such as websites or learning platforms, accessible.
Date: 14.06.2023 10 - 12 am
Content: Presentations and documents are part of the everyday life of teachers and learners. In this event you will learn how to create accessible documents with PowerPoint and Word. Participants will evaluate and get feedback on their own materials.
Event 4: Accessible websites with Roxen
Date: 21.06.2023 10-11 am
Content: In this event you will learn how to create accessible websites with Roxen. You will receive practical instructions and tips on how to make your website accessible and thus ensure access to information for all users.
The events are open to academic staff as well as technical and administrative staff. We look forward to your participation and the exchange with you!
