This summer school is a service for researchers from all over the world, regardless of the country, religion or culture in which they study religious change and development. Due to the Corona crisis, this summer school will be held online as webinar.
The summer school has the threefold aim of …
(a) familiarizing with and discussing theory and methods (including hands-on learning) for studying religious change and development in the psychology of religion and related disciplines,
(b) assisting researchers, who are engaged in research with a developmental approach, or intend to include a developmental perspective in their study, in the elaboration and refinement of their research designs, and
(c) promote the networking among young researcher and senior, experienced researchers in this field of study.
Our expertise as organizers, presenters and advisors rests on twenty years of experience in cross-cultural, mixed-method research: Our Bielefeld-Chattanooga studies focus on biographical-reconstructive research, combined with psychometric approaches for investigating religious and spiritual experience, vertical and horizontal, religious styles, and the study of religious and biographical trajectories over time.
