5th International Conference "Unity and plurality in Europe"
1st to 3rd August 2010, Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina
Heinrich Wilhelm Schäfer, Leif Seibert, Zrinka Stimac presented results of their project on the Ethos of interreligious Peace-builders on this conference organized by the International Forum Bosna (IFB).
The IDB is a non-governmental organization founded in Sarajevo. It gathers organizations and individuals from Bosnia-Herzegovina and different other countries worldwide committed to the creation of society based on dialogue, trust, respect, human rights and the rule of law. The International Conferences combine pluralistic perspectives on religious thought with social scientific research on tolerance, civil society, and interreligious dialogue.
The paper presented by Stimac, Seibert and Schäfer, first, explained the field of the peace-building organizations in Bosnia-Herzegovina according to its internal dynamics and, second, compared the identities and strategies of different grassroots organizations.
