Chiara Pierobon's new book "The Power of Civil Society in the Middle East and North Africa. Peace-Building, Change, and Development" edited with Ibrahim Natil and Lilian Tauber is now available.

The book investigates the strengthens (and weaknesses) of MENA civil society in the Post-Arab Spring era as well as by looking at long-standing challenges in the region. It sheds new light on how CSOs have achieved peace-building, change and development-related objectives despite the complexity of the political environment and of the socio-economic context such as the fragmentation of (civil) society along ethnic, linguistic and cultural lines.

A book presentation will be held my co-editors at the BRISMES Conference / Panel 1A scheduled for June 24. at 2pm.
