New project "Close Encounters: Development, Aspiration and Intimate Politics among the Hmong of Laos and China" funded by DFG
On the 1st of October 2026 Dr. Phill Wilcox and her team consisting of a PhD student and a student assistant will launch their DFG funded project "Close Encounters: Development, Aspiration and Intimate Politics among the Hmong of Laos and China". It will investigate the politics of intimacy and how people develop their own lives in these of Global China.
