Despite recent nationalistic political developments, themes of global health dominate the current and future public health agenda, e.g. climate change, financial crisis and global refugee migration. In this symposium renowned scholars from Germany and abroad will address hot topics that range from the global threat due to infectious diseases over population health effects of urbanisation to those of violence and the refugee crisis.
