(Professor of General History with special emphasis on contemporary history at Bielefeld University)
Morina's research focuses on the history and posthistory of World War II, the role of "bystanders" in the
Holocaust, questions of collective memory and historical politics, the political cultural history of divided Germany,
GDR or East German history since 1989, the rise of right-wing populism, and the history of historiography.
