Gracila Vilaça is a PhD student in Social Communication at the Graduate Program of UFMG - Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - (2020-2024). Her research focuses on the phenomenon of the Brazilian Manosphere by observing the intertwining between platforms, masculinities and memes on Reddit using qualitative methods. She is also a researcher of R-EST - sociotechnical network studies. She is currently a DAAD visiting doctoral student with Prof.'in Julia Roth at Bielefeld University and CIAS for one year.
