Training programme: Communication without barriers – accessibility in university practice
Digital accessibility is a central component of an inclusive university culture. The Competence Centre for Accessible Digital University Administration.NRW offers the training course Communication without Barriers: Accessibility in university practice. The training programme can be used by all university employees in NRW and is aimed at anyone who wants to make digital content and communication more accessible.
The training provides a practical insight into the basics of digital accessibility. The focus is on the question of how digital content and communication can be designed in such a way that they are accessible to all people.
Participants will learn, among other things,
- how to recognise and avoid typical barriers in everyday working life,
- the four principles of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG),
- the basics of accessible design and accessible communication,
- practical examples of how accessibility can be taken into account in everyday university life.
