Online lecture: Applying for a job with a disability, chronic or mental illness
You have job applications coming up and are wondering whether you should or even have to disclose your disability or chronic illness in the application process? Would you like to know how best to disclose a disability or illness in your application documents?
The speaker Stefanie Kirwald from myAbility, a social enterprise from Vienna, which is committed to an equal opportunity and barrier-free society in the DACH region and, among other things, operates a job portal for people with a disability or chronic illness, will provide information on these and other questions (in German). Ms. Kirwald is an expert in her own right and has been living with a disability for about 20 years.
The event offers an introduction to the topic of applying for a job with a disability or chronic illness. You will have the opportunity to collect and reflect on arguments for the individual handling of your own disability or illness in the work context. In addition, there is the possibility to bring in your own questions to the speaker.
