Lecture: Digital accessibility in practice - saying goodbye to black-and-white thinking
Lecture by Prof. Gottfried Zimmermann on Wednesday, 23rd April 2025, 10:00 - 11:30 online via Zoom.
We like to make things (too) easy for ourselves by dividing things into two camps: Either you passed or you didn't; either you do something completely or not at all; etc. Some dichotomies have also crept into our thinking and strategies when it comes to digital accessibility: Either you are disabled or you are not; either a website is accessible or it is not; etc.
As part of the Accessible IT network meeting of the Competence centre for accessible digital university administration.NRW, Prof. Gottfried Zimmermann will give an introduction to digital accessibility and its practical implementation. In his presentation, he reveals common black-and-white thinking patterns and encourages reflection on more differentiated and pragmatic approaches.
The lecture will be followed by an opportunity for discussion and questions.
The event is open to all interested parties. It will be held in German. If you would like to take part in the event, please register via Zoom.
