Event Announcement: Wednesday 19.10.22
As part of our 5th anniversary, the programme continues. On Wednesday, 19 October 2022, anyone who is interested can learn more about the various projects of the ZAB and about studying, teaching and working without barriers at Bielefeld university.
In addition, we at the ZAB would like to call attention to the "Mental Health Week" on the same evening. Photography, Lecture, Talk: Sometimes Good, More Bad. Sensitive insights into the inner worlds of depression, from 7 - 8:30 pm in X-E0-001:
"You sit in your flat, you see things around you, then the light gets dimmer and dimmer, you see less and less until there's nothing left: that's depression."
A high proportion of the population suffers from a mental illness whose symptoms, varying in severity, often remain elusive and bewildering to those around them. Photographs by Nora Klein describe the emotional world of depressive people without using words. She and Sabine Fröhlich, another participant in the project, will present their work and the book of pictures they have created. In a subsequent discussion, Ms Fröhlich will speak of her own experiences and engage in conversation with the photographer and interested parties.
The event is supported by the German Depression League (Deutsche DepressionsLiga e.V.) and BARMER self-help funding. Room X-E0-001 is accessible without barriers.
