Applying for a job with a disability, chronic or mental illness - Online lecture in cooperation with ZAV
You are applying for a job and wonder whether you should or even have to disclose your disability or chronic illness in the application process?
Finding an individually suitable strategy to disclose or not disclose your disability or illness in the application process depends on various considerations. With our series of lectures, we would like to support you in collecting arguments for a clear handling of your own disability or chronic illness in the employment environment and to initiate opportunities for self-reflection.
We have invited Torsten Prenner from the Zentralen Auslands- und Fachvermittlung der Bundesagentur für Arbeit, ZAV (Central Foreign and Specialist Placement Office of the German Federal Employment Agency) to this session. He has been a consultant for severely disabled academics in the team for more than 20 years and will present the offers and opportunities of the AG-S SBA and give tips on the job search.
The Employer Service for Severely Disabled Academics supports severely disabled experts and executives with a university degree in their job search nationwide. In addition to individual counseling, the team also provides financial support for employment integration.
Target group: Students and doctoral candidates of all subjects
Speaker: Torsten Prenner (ZAV)
Direction: Anika Voigt (ZAB), Dörte Husmann (Career Service)
Registration: Please enroll until 10.11.23 via the Career Service Portal
The online event is offered via Zoom. There is the option to use automatically generated subtitles. We kindly ask you to inform us about further individual needs as early as possible. We will be happy to support you.
