Worldmaking Projects and the Infrastructural Nexus: New Publication from a ZiF Resident Group
World politics is a dynamic field that has always been, and continues to be, characterised by a diversity of ordering principles. To date, the prevailing view has been that of a historical sequence of world political orders. From April - September 2024, the Resident Group “Understanding the Transformations of World Politics: Ordering Principles and Infrastructures of Communication“ inquired how world politics is made – and constantly remade – in the interplay not only of ordering principles, but also of infrastructures of communication. In order to enable a better understanding of world politics and change within it, the project brought together world-leading expertise from different disciplines.
Their results have now been published in the open access volume “Worldmaking Projects and the Infrastructural Nexus. An Interdisciplinary Exploration“, edited by Mathias Albert, Heidi Tworek and Tobias Werron.
