New Resident Group: Understanding the Transformations of World Politics
Will a Chinese world order replace the dominance of the western world? Or will Russia bring colonial and imperial claims that were thought to have been overcome back onto the world stage? Questions like these are dominating the current political debate. But the idea of a dominant world order is too simple. In fact, a variety of principles of order exist and have always existed side by side. Analysing their interaction in order to better understand current processes of change is the goal of the Resident Group "Understanding the Transformations of World Politics: Ordering Principles and Infrastructures of Communication".
The group is led by Mathias Albert (Bielefeld), Heidi Tworek (Vancouver) and Tobias Werron (Bielefeld) and starts its work with the beginning of April.
