Prof. Dr. Jens Stoye is elected as ZiF's new Executive Director: The Professor for Genome Informatics has been a member of ZiF's Board of Directors since 2017 and takes over as Executive Director from Prof. Dr. Véronique Zanetti, Philosophy, whose term and membership on the Board ended in September 2023. Prof. Dr. Gernot Akemann, Mathematical Physics, was re-elected as Deputy Executive Director. Having concluded his term, Prof. Dr. Carsten Reinhardt, Historical Studies of Science, also left the Board at the end of September. As new members were appointed Prof. Dr. Marie Kaiser, Philosophy of Science, and Prof. Dr. Eleonora Rohland, History. With Prof. Dr. Angelika Epple taking office as Bielefeld University's Rector, Prof. Dr. Christiane Fuchs, Economics, succeeds as the Rectorate's representative on this Board. There was also a change of membership in the status group Administration and Service: After 4 years, Gaby Heißenberg's term (ZiF's Directorate's Secretary) ended; she is followed by Maren Winkelhage (ZiF Group and Conference Support). We are very pleased to welcome our new Directors and Board members who are willing to support ZiF and ensure its further development. At the same time, we thank our former directors, especially Véronique Zanetti as Executive Director, and are sorry to see them leave.
