The family – who does not love them? That this is not always an easy task will be proved by the Bielefeld University’s English Drama Group at the end of this summer term.

Around the World in Four Playlets” the students present short scenes of four different family portraits from all over the world which could not be more diverse, but still can be found everywhere on the planet. Laughter and reflection, the audience will be served both, as the evening will be ruled by irony, wordplay and emotions.
The following one-act-plays will be put on stage: The Anniversary (Chekhov, Russia), Facing Death (Strindberg, Sweden), The Respectful Prostitute (Sartre, France), as well as one act from Neil Simons’ Plaza Suite: Visitor from Forest Hills (U.S.A.).
