Information for refugees who want to study
Refugees invited to Bielefeld University on the 30th of September
On the 30th of September, Bielefeld University will be hosting an information event for refugees in the region of East Westphalia-Lippe. It will start at 4 p.m. in Room X-E1-203 in Building X. Refugees’ escorts and advisors are also cordially invited to attend.
The information event is intended for refugees who already possess some knowledge of German. Many refugees have school-leaving qualifications that entitle them to study at university, have had to break off their studies, or were already active academics. During the event, they can obtain general information on studying in Germany, how to finance one’s studies, and the preconditions for studying. The university’s Student Advising and Counselling Service (ZSB) will also be providing information on which subjects can be studied at Bielefeld University, preparatory courses, and the information and advisory services for students.
The event is being organized by the university’s Student Advising and Counselling Service (ZSB) with the support of the International Office and the Studierendensekretariat [Student Office]. A representative of Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences will also be available to answer questions.
