Rahla Rahat verbringt das Wintersemester 17/18 als Gastdozentin an der Universität Bielefeld.

Rahla Rahat ist Assistenz-Professorin der Soziologie im Institut der Sozial und Kulturwissenschaften an der University of the Punjab, Pakistan. Sie erhielt ihren Master Abschluss in Soziologie an der University of New Brunswick, Kanada und Promoviert an der der University of the Punjab.

Ihre Forschungsinteressen liegen in den Bereichen Gender, Entwicklung, Umsiedlung und Urbanisation. Frau Rahat arbeitet mit verschiedenen nationalen und internationalen Organisationen, wie der Welt Bank und der WAPDA, zusammen.

Rahla Rahat wird bis Dezember im Rahmen der Internationalen Dimension des Erasmus+ Programms, als Gastdozentin im Arbeitsbereich Transnationalisierung, Entwicklung und Migration lehren. Ihr Kursangebot befasst sich mit den Themen Women and Infrastructural development und Development-induced-displacement and Sociology of Resettlement.

Rahla Rahat will spent the Wintersemster 17/18 as a guest lecturer at University Bielefeld.

Rahala Rahat is an Assistance Professor of Sociology at the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies at University of the Punjab, Pakistan. She has a MA in Sociology from the University of New Brunswick, Canada and is currently pursuing her Ph. D. from University of the Punjab.

Her research and teaching interest includes gender, development, resettlement and urbanization. Rahat works with various national and international organizations, such as the World Bank and WAPDA.

Rahla Rahat will be a guest lecturer in the "International Dimension" of the Erasmus+ Program, in the working group Transnationalization, Development and Migration, until December. She is holding the BA and MA Seminars Women and Infrastructural development and Development-induced-displacement and Sociology of Resettlement.
