The science festival GENIALE takes place in Bielefeld for the fourth time. The objective? To get children excited about science. From 18th to 26th August, scientists from institutions of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld take part in the GENIALE. The festival provides a platform to experiment with various research questions in the form of different events on subjects as varied as robots, nutrition, and insects.

The SFB 1288 will be present at the GENIALE with two projects. The art history subproject C01 that deals with comparing photos and faces at the Bielefeld Art Association will be present at the GENIALE on 26th August with their project Let’s Face it - Comparing Faces and Images.

On 21st and 24th August, the SFB’s public relations team and the Historisches Museum Bielefeld will be on a photo-safari through the city center, allowing historic images to be reproduced: Was everything better in the past?
