Subproject C05 "Media dispositifs of comparison: Harun Farocki's comparative practices in the context of media history" will reinforce the SFB from now on. Prof. Dr. Helga Lutz, who is professor for Modern and Contemporary Image and Art History at Bielefeld University, is the principal investigator.

The project asks in which way mediums like photography, film, video, and digital image processing have made new dispositifs of comparison possible and thereby contributed to historical change. Subproject C05 will productively add a media theoretical and media historical perspective to the practical theoretical orientation of the SFB.
