In the context of the SFB's cooperation with the University of Notre Dame, Angelika Epple is currently visiting Notre Dame. The spokesperson of the SFB "Practices of comparing" will talk about the "Practice Turn in Global History".

Since the 'spatial turn', the need to reflect on how to conduct research and write about global history and the history of globalisation has become more intense for historians. Angelika Epple outlines the biggest challenges in that regard and argues that practice theory is a possible solution for these challenges.
