Frank Riedel Co-Organizes Closing Conference of ZiF Research Group
Frank Riedel and Chris Shannon (University of California at Berkeley) are going to organize the conference Robust Finance and Beyond, to be held from May 30 to June 3 at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research at Bielefeld University (ZiF).
This conference marks the closing of the ZiF research group Robust Finance: Strategic Power, Knightian Uncertainty, and the Foundations of Economic Policy Advice which has been in residence at the ZiF from March to July 2015.
The conference is devoted to the ongoing topic of how to increase the stability of financial markets. In particular, the conference addresses issues related to the market power exerted on financial markets, a subject which is still very insufficiently understood. Furthermore, ideas for follow-up projects emerging from the work of the research group are going to be discussed.
Leading researchers from all over the world – from Berkeley and Chicago in the United States, from the Sorbonne in Paris, and from the Australian National University in Canberra, to name only a few – are going to present the results which they have obtained as members of the research group.
