GrACe

The JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship enables eligible postdoctoral researchers from Germany to carry out a self-designed research project in Japan: 1–12 months under the Short-Term programme or 12–24 months under the Standard programme.

Applicants must generally have completed their doctorate within the previous six years and meet the other eligibility criteria. A host institution in Japan and a hosting commitment are required.

The current monthly stipend is 362,000 Yen.

Applications must be submitted online in English. As processing usually takes four to seven months, applicants should plan ahead.
