Dr. María Herrera Cardenas is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Bielefeld University, specializing in Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). Her research contributes to developing gendered medical violence as an analytical category to examine how institutional medical practices produce harm and how contemporary literature generates forms of epistemic repair and feminist counter-knowledge.
