COLLOQUIUM INFORMATION for Tuesday, January 14th 2025: "The importance of transnational spaces for the development of organic farming (19th to 21st century)" with Andreas Jünger (Rachel Carson Center, LMU Munich.
Andreas Jünger is a doctoral candidate at the Rachel Carson Center/LMU Munich. In his dissertation project, he examines the agro-ecological change and the roots of organic farming in the southern Spanish region of Andalusia in the 19th and 20th centuries. Andreas previously earned his BA from the University of Bonn, majoring in history and minoring in Romance studies, and graduated from the University of Münster with an MA in history focusing on nineteenth- and twentieth-century Latin American history. He was a visiting doctoral student at the University of Málaga (2021) and at the Leibniz Institute of European History in Mainz (2024). His current research interests include the past and present of organic farming, environmental movements, and green parties in the European and transatlantic context.
