"Open Minds for Open Science" starts today
The first session of the new seminar "Open Minds for Open Science" takes place today
Newly Created Seminar
For the better part of a year researchers of the Open Science Network Bielefeld have worked on a concept to teach the idea, aims, practices, tools, advantages and limitations of open science to undergraduate students.
Interdisciplinary Teaching
The seminar will be held by an interdisciplinary team of lecturers from Bielefeld University, who share a passion for open science. Each week will cover a different open science topic, such as open access, open data, open source, version control, licensing and many more. Each session will be taught by a different lecturer.
Interdisciplinary Learning
We are looking forward to an interdisciplinary auditory of students interested in the transformation of science, that is open science. Students can receive credit for partaking in this course in the Data Literacy Module in the Individual Subsidiary Subjects (Individuelle Ergänzung).
