The Welcome Day for the winter semester 2016/17 took place last Wednesday at the BGHS.

Afterwards the participants were welcomed by representatives of the faculty for sociology and the department of history (Dr. Bettina Brandt). Thereafter Dr. Sabine Schäfer, executive manager of the BGHS, informed about the structures and programmes as well as the academic life at the graduate school.
Finally the members of the BGHS-Office and the doctoral representatives introduced themselves to the new doctoral researchers and guests.

After the event the new members of the BGHS and guests took the opportunity to get to know their colleagues during a coffee break in the BGHS-Lounge.
