At the beginning of Winter Term 2016/17 we would like to inform about some news from our directors and the members of the BGHS office:

• From 1 October 2016 Prof. Dr. Ursula Mense-Petermann is the new director of the BGHS. She takes over the office from Prof. Dr. Thomas Welskopp (director of the BGHS since 2010), who will be deputy director of the BGHS for the next two years.


• Dr. Sabine Schäfer, executive manager of the BGHS since 1 October 2013, continues to be the executive manager of the BGHS from 1 October with a permanent contract.


• Dr. Karen Holtmann, responsible for member management, recruitment and academic affairs, is back from parental leave. Dr. Miriam Kanne, who worked in the BGHS office in place of Karen Holtmann, has left the BGHS at the end of September. We thank her very much for her well done work for the BGHS.


• Finn-Rasmus Bull is our new student assistant in the BGHS Office. Jennifer Hahn, Student Assistant at the BGHS, is no longer employed in the BGHS office from 1 October. We thank her very much for her work during the last years.
