Medical Assistance Systems
The MAS Working Group will be taking part in two events!
Over the coming weeks, there will be opportunities to find out more about our research and demonstrators outside the showroom. We look forward to chatting with visitors and presenting our latest projects in the fields of medicine, care and artificial intelligence.
📍 13 October, 2.00–6.30 pm: ‘Sieker speaks and we listen’ at the Sieker community kitchen.
This open, hands-on afternoon featuring robots, AI games and chatbots is taking place as part of a programme organised by TRR 318 “Constructing Explainability” and SFB 1646 “Linguistic Creativity”, in cooperation with the Sozialdienst katholischer Frauen e.V. Bielefeld. The event will focus on language, artificial intelligence and shared dialogue. On 13 October, visitors will be able to control the NAO robot using their own voice or eyes with the help of our colleague Sinem Görmez.
Further information about the event is available on the TRR 318 event page.
📍 29 October, 1.00–4.00 pm: ‘Speed-Dating Robotics’ at GENIALE in the Wissenswerkstadt Bielefeld. We’ll also be taking part in GENIALE in Bielefeld. Here, several members of staff from the Medical Assistance Systems Research Group and the Interactive Robotics in Medicine and Care Research Group will be providing insights into their research using various demonstrators. Visitors will have the opportunity to try out various current research prototypes relating to intelligent assistance systems and robotics.
Further information and the full programme can be found on the Wissenswerkstadt event page.
We look forward to an inspiring exchange and welcoming many interested visitors!
