Medical Assistance Systems

We are very pleased to announce that our paper titled "SHIFT: An Interdisciplinary Framework for Scaffolding Human Attention and Understanding in Explanatory Tasks" has been accepted for presentation at the IEEE International Conference on Development and Learning (ICDL) 2025.

André Groß will present the paper at the conference, which will take place in Prague from September 16 to 19, 2025. In this work, we introduce the computational model SHIFT, which uses monitoring of the human interaction partner to determine the need for negation-based scaffolding explanations.
