Paper accepted at MAI-XAI 🎉
We are excited to announce that our paper has been accepted at the MAI-XAI Conference!
In the paper we investigate how emotions influence the understanding of AI explanations. Our study shows: Pre-induced emotions such as joy or fear do not initially affect comprehension. However, when arousal occurs during the explanation – for example, through personally relevant content or perceived errors – understanding can be impaired.
The paper was carried out within Project A03 of the TRR 318 “Constructing Explainability” and thus contributes to a better understanding of socio-emotional factors in the use of explainable AI.
