Europa lebt vom Mitmachen! Genau darum geht es beim Wettbewerb „Utopie Europa“, der 2026 bereits in die siebte Runde geht. Gesucht werden kreative Projekte von Studierenden, die sich für Demokratie, politische Teilhabe und ein vereintes Europa einsetzen.

Ob Social-Media-Kampagne, Podcast, Kurzfilm, Veranstaltungsreihe oder innovative Hochschulinitiative: Wenn ihr Europa an eurer Hochschule sichtbar macht und junge Menschen zum Mitgestalten motiviert, könnt ihr eure Idee jetzt einreichen. Der Wettbewerb wird vom Hochschulbüro der französischen Botschaft / Institut français Deutschland in Berlin sowie der Deutsch-Französischen Hochschule organisiert.

Worum geht es?

Im Mittelpunkt stehen Projekte, die:

• demokratische Werte stärken,
• europäisches Miteinander fördern,
• politische Teilhabe junger Menschen sichtbar machen,
• oder den europäischen Integrationsprozess unterstützen.

Dabei sind eurer Kreativität keine Grenzen gesetzt. Gesucht werden Ideen, die inspirieren, bewegen und vielleicht sogar andere Hochschulen zum Nachmachen motivieren.

So läuft der Wettbewerb ab

Studierende reichen ihren Beitrag im Team und im Medium ihrer Wahl ein. Vorgestellt werden soll ein Projekt an eurer Hochschule, das sich aktiv für Demokratie und Europa engagiert. Die Beiträge werden anschließend von einer Jury bewertet, die die drei Gewinner:innen-Teams des „Utopie Europa Preises 2026“ auswählt.

Das könnt ihr gewinnen

Die drei besten Projekte erhalten eine Förderung von bis zu 1.000 Euro.

An Hochschulen entstehen jeden Tag spannende Ideen für ein demokratisches und solidarisches Europa. „Utopie Europa“ bietet euch die Chance, euer Engagement sichtbar zu machen und andere zu inspirieren. Europe thrives on participation! That is precisely what the “Utopia Europe” competition is all about, and in 2026 it will be entering its seventh year. They are looking for creative projects by students who are committed to democracy, political participation and a united Europe.

Whether it’s a social media campaign, a podcast, a short film, a series of events or an innovative university initiative: if you’re raising the profile of Europe at your university and encouraging young people to get involved, you can submit your idea now. The competition is organised by the Higher Education Office of the French Embassy / Institut français Deutschland in Berlin and the Franco-German University.

What is it all about?

The focus is on projects that:

• strengthen democratic values,
• promote European cooperation,
• highlight young people’s political participation,
• or support the European integration process.

There are no limits to your creativity. They are looking for ideas that inspire, make an impact and perhaps even encourage other universities to follow suit.

How the competition works

Students submit their entries as a team, using the medium of their choice. The entry should present a project at your university that actively promotes democracy and Europe. The entries will then be assessed by a jury, which will select the three winning teams for the ‘Utopia Europe Prize 2026’.

Here’s what you can win

The three best projects will receive funding of up to €1,000.
