Forschende, die eine wissenschaftliche Zusammenarbeit mit Partner*innen in Frankreich aufbauen oder vertiefen möchten, können sich jetzt für das deutsch-französische Förderprogramm Procope bewerben. Die Bewerbungsfrist für Projekte mit Start im Januar 2027 endet am 1. Juli 2026.

Austauschförderung für alle Fachrichtungen

Procope ist das wichtigste Programm zur Förderung des projektbezogenen wissenschaftlichen Austauschs zwischen Deutschland und Frankreich. Es wird auf deutscher Seite als Projektbezogener Personenaustausch (PPP) und auf französischer Seite als Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC) durchgeführt.

Gefördert werden zweijährige Projekte, die den regelmäßigen Austausch von Wissenschaftler*innen durch Kurzaufenthalte in Deutschland und Frankreich ermöglichen. Ziel ist es, gemeinsame Forschungsaktivitäten zu initiieren, bestehende Kooperationen zu stärken und langfristige wissenschaftliche Netzwerke aufzubauen. Der Förderaufruf richtet sich an Forschende an Hochschulen und außeruniversitären Forschungseinrichtungen. Auch Unternehmen können sich beteiligen, sofern die Zusammenarbeit gemeinsam mit einem akademischen Partner erfolgt. Bewerbungen aus allen wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen sind willkommen.

Gemeinsame Bewerbung erforderlich

Die Antragstellung erfolgt über das Portal des Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienstes (DAAD) im Bereich „PPP“.

Wichtig: Eine Bewerbung ist nur dann gültig, wenn zeitgleich auch die französische Partnerinstitution einen Antrag auf französischer Seite einreicht.

40 Jahre Procope

Ein besonderes Jubiläum begleitet die aktuelle Ausschreibung: Das Procope-Programm feiert 2026 sein 40-jähriges Bestehen. Aus diesem Anlass hat der Wissenschafts- und Technologiedienst der Französischen Botschaft in Deutschland gemeinsam mit Sur Mesure Berlin Porträts von Forschenden erstellt, die von Procope profitiert haben. Die Beiträge werden sukzessive auf der Plattform „Science Allemagne“ veröffentlicht und geben Einblicke in erfolgreiche deutsch-französische Forschungskooperationen.

Wer neue Forschungskooperationen mit Frankreich aufbauen oder bestehende Partnerschaften weiterentwickeln möchte, sollte die Gelegenheit nutzen und seine Bewerbung bis zum 1. Juli 2026 einreichen. Der Projektstart ist für Januar 2027 vorgesehen.

Researchers wishing to establish or strengthen scientific collaboration with partners in France can now apply for the Franco-German funding programme Procope. The deadline for applications for projects starting in January 2027 is 1 July 2026.

Exchange funding for all disciplines

Procope is the main programme for promoting project-based academic exchange between Germany and France. It is implemented on the German side as the Project-Based Personnel Exchange (PPP) and on the French side as the Partenariat Hubert Curien (PHC).

Funding is available for two-year projects that facilitate regular exchanges between researchers through short-term stays in Germany and France. The aim is to initiate joint research activities, strengthen existing collaborations and establish long-term academic networks. The call for proposals is aimed at researchers at universities and non-university research institutions. Companies may also participate, provided the collaboration is carried out in partnership with an academic partner. Applications from all academic disciplines are welcome.

Joint application required

Applications must be submitted via the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) portal under the ‘PPP’ section.

Important: An application is only valid if the French partner institution also submits an application on the French side at the same time.

40 Years of Procope

This call for proposals coincides with a special anniversary: the Procope programme will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2026. To mark the occasion, the Science and Technology Service of the French Embassy in Germany, in collaboration with Sur Mesure Berlin, has produced profiles of researchers who have benefited from Procope. The contributions will be published in stages on the “Science Allemagne” platform and provide insights into successful Franco-German research collaborations.

Anyone wishing to establish new research collaborations with France or further develop existing partnerships should take this opportunity to submit their application by 1 July 2026. The project is scheduled to start in January 2027.
